The first entire day of development went to reading quest guides and watching old videos of the quest to gather a list of npc, object, and item interactions so that I could see what happens when you attempt those before starting the quest, and implementing that. And then of course adding all of the dialogues for the NPCs that you interact with during the quest so they have their dialogues for when the quest is not started.
The next two days were spent developing the actual quest. This quest was not so bad mechanically, just very time consuming with dialogues. The main thing I did not enjoy about this quest is that it used a lot of NPCs that had dialogue intertwined with other quests. So I had to check their dialogues while the One Small Favour quest was started and ensure the player could still progress through other quests the NPC was involved in while doing this quest, where applicable.
Examples: Fred the Farmer (Sheep Shearer), Apothecary (Romeo & Juliet), Rantz (Big Chompy Bird Hunting), Aggie (Prince Ali Rescue), and more... luckily it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Just time consuming like I said before.
And after 3 days the quest was "done"! Due to it being such a long quest, I spent the next 2 days testing and fixing things I may have missed. There were actually three bugs left over in the video that I've now fixed (Sound being sent too soon when casting the spell on the sculpture, the dwarven mines not being a multi-combat area, and a dialogue bug with Hammerspike Stoutbeard. You can actually see during the Hammerspike part, I stopped recording to fix the dialogue bug and then resumed recording. I wasn't about to start the video over that far in!)
If you notice any other quest related imperfections please point them out!
